“As a classroom community, our capacity to generate excitement is deeply affected by our interest in one another, in hearing one another’s voices, in recognizing one another’s presence.” bell hooks

This quote by bell hooks is incredibly powerful and resonates deeply with why I love teaching and feel privileged to share classrooms with students. It's the interactions between individuals and the unique contributions each person brings, meeting each other where we are in the moment, that make teaching so meaningful. A classroom has the potential to be a truly transformative space when we take the time to foster an environment where everyone feels safe to explore, have fun, and make mistakes.
